The Disney Skyliner is being constructed at a very fast pace and new towers are springing up all over property. I took a recent visit to Disney’s Caribbean Beach, Pop Century and Art of Animation Resorts to check out the Disney Skyliner construction there, but today it was Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

They have made some extremely quick progress over the past few weeks. Three skyliner towers have emerged in the parking area and the beginning stages of the Loading and unloading dock has now taken shape.
The dock will be located next to the Disney bus stops, which is only a short walking distance to the main gate. The Disney Skyliner is going to provide much needed transportation from the Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, Art of Animation and Disney Riviera (under construction), to Hollywood Studios and Epcot. This should be a very efficient form of transportation that will alleviate a substantial amount of bus traffic. This not only helps the flow of traffic in and out of the parks and resorts, but should also reduce the resorts overall carbon footprint.
There are three main towers spanning the parking area that will bring guests suspended in gondolas over the cars below. The visuals from the gondolas should be pretty amazing and the site from the ground below will add quite the ambiance as you make your way towards the front gates.
Close up of the Disney Skyliner tower and track system. It is most impressive to see!
This is the rear tower in the parking lot. The clearing in the distance is where the gondolas will approach from the Caribbean Resort.
This will be the full approach as you enter the parking area and head towards the front gate. The Hollywood Tower Hotel will be a most impressive site in the distance.
