Ever dream of living like royalty at Walt Disney World? Well, of course a night in Cinderella Castle would fulfill that dream, but there is actually a more realistic option available. The Presidential Suites on the fifteenth floor of the Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort will certainly make you feel like a Disney king or queen.
The Alcazar and Castillo Suites are nearly identical, offering 1,875 square feet of living space. We recently had the pleasure of touring the magnificent Castillo Suite and were completely blown away.
We begin by ringing the doorbell and entering through the double doors into a large foyer.
Spacious Half Bath
Directly to the right, down the hall, is a nice storage area and a spacious half bath. This is perfect for entertaining guests.
The detail on this cabinet is gorgeous and the water fixture is sleek and modern.
Main Living Area
The real thrill comes when walking into this enormous living area. There is so much to take in, it’s almost overwhelming…but it doesn’t take long to feel right at home.
Your eyes are automatically drawn to full length windows offering stunning views of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Blizzard Beach.
The seating area is warm, modern and inviting. The furniture is very comfortable and allows for intimate moments with the family or exciting opportunities to entertain friends.
Beautiful artwork and modern fixtures can be found throughout the entire living area. A large flat panel “smart TV'”, with surround sound is fixed to this amazing stone wall. This gorgeous wall adds so much texture and simply looks amazing.
Consistent in every room are the recessed ceilings, framed with rich hardwood paneling. Personally, I have never seen anything like it before. It adds so much personality and depth to each room.
Entertainment / Wet Bar
On the opposite wall is this fantastic wet bar and entertainment space. Here you will find a small sink, mini fridge, and Espresso machine.
A second smart TV makes it easy to keep everyone entertained while whipping up some coffee or maybe even a cocktail or two.
Fresh fruit and delicious candies are complimentary.
The cabinets are beautifully decorated and offer an abundance of storage.
Dinning Area
If you chose to skip dinner at the wonderful “Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood” Restaurant on the sixteenth floor of the Gran Destino Tower, then perhaps you would prefer dinning around this magnificent dinner table. This lovely hardwood table seats eight and of course offers grand views of Walt Disney World.
There are so many elegant and decorative pieces all around. I particularity love this exotic mirror. Of course, more storage can be found in the lovely cabinet below.
Each area has individual temperature settings that are controlled by these digital panels located in each room.
Master Bedroom
As we continue through, we find ourselves in this lavish master bedroom. From floor to ceiling, this room is extravagant. The colors are beautiful and the carving on the wall is stunning.
How perfect to wake up and look outside across the most magical place on earth.
I love how these plush blue pillows jump off the crisp white linen. It really brings everything together in the room.
There is plenty of storage space.
Again, here we see the recessed ceiling with that beautiful hardwood paneling. Gorgeous!
The large smart TV is opposite the king size bed and is hanging on this wonderfully etched wall. There are so many fine details that really set this space apart from so many others.
Spend some quiet time reading, relaxing or better yet, watching the Hollywood Studios fireworks each night. Even Caesar and Cleopatra couldn’t resist this royal treatment.
Master Bath
A master bedroom would not be complete without a magnificent master bath. There is no other word but “WOW” to describe walking into this for the first time.
One question I get asked quite often, is about ADA compliant areas at Walt Disney World. Yes, the Castillo suite is fully ADA accessible. Disney is wonderful at recognizing the needs of all guests and is reflected anywhere from standard rooms all the way up to the presidential suite.
The beautiful dual sinks bookend this perfect vanity. Large mirrors and wonderful Disney amenities complete the ambiance. The counter tops are low for wheelchair accessibility.
The main focal point that instantly grabs your attention is this elegant and inviting soaking tub. This is the perfect way to relax after a long day walking through the parks.
Hand rails make things much easier for special needs around the commode. More beautiful artwork adds a touch of elegance.
The walk in (roll in) shower is very large and again features grab bars if needed.
Always wonderful to have dual shower heads for that extra ease and comfort.
Second Bedroom
The master bedroom is wonderful, but what about the kids or maybe even some friends staying for the night. There is a second bedroom, complete with two queen size beds ready to accommodate their needs.
Again, this room is beautifully decorated and provides a wonderful view to wake up to. I love the wonderful use of blue, from the carpet, to the pillows and into the tapestries.
A quaint desk area also provides plenty of storage. Another smart TV allows guests some private entertainment.
Secondary Bath
Even the second bedroom has a full private bath area with a lovely vanity.
There is plenty of counter space, dual sinks and a wonderful wall size mirror.
Of course more Disney amenities are provided.
This large walk-in shower is enclosed with a glass door.
A seat and dual shower heads really add a level of comfort for that morning shower.
A private commode area makes getting ready a little easier for multiple people.
The sliding door allows for complete privacy.
Don’t forget to try on one of these comfortable robes with soft slippers and melt away into a euphoric bliss.
The Castillo suite is unlike anything you have ever experienced at a Walt Disney World resort. It is elegance at its finest. It provides a level of comfort and sophistication that is so satisfying in every way. The views from the fifteenth floor are absolutely breathtaking and does provide stunning looks across central Florida. Of course, this is not everyday living, this is the suite that dreams are made of…but this dream may not be as far out of reach as you may expect. Maybe save a few extra pennies and give it a shot for the night. We only live once and this is certainly considered living!
