Disney’s Dumbo Takes A New Direction With Tim Burton Directing – Trailer and Reaction

The brand new Teaser Trailer for Disney’s Live Action Dumbo just released today.  The movie is directed by Tim Burton, which automatically gives the feeling of dark, mysterious, gloomy and sad…which is perfect for Dumbo.

Cammi and I watched the new trailer and of course made a reaction video.  Starting off with one of Disney’s most emotional songs, is Baby Mine.  It seems to be a darker and more haunting version of the song, which is fitting for Burton’s rendition.  I was surprised on the new support system in place for Dumbo, coming in the way of a father (Colin Farrell) and two kids.  I was shocked when I didn’t see Timothy Mouse.  Now, that doesn’t mean he won’t show up somewhere in the movie, but the plot seems to lead in a different direction so far.

We do know that Dumbo astounds everyone with his ability to fly and helps turn the circus (owned by Danny DeVito) into a success.  An entrepreneur (Michael Keaton) recruits Dumbo to star in his new venture called Dreamland.  It turns out that Dreamland is really full of some dark secrets.

I have a feeling that Timothy may show up when Dumbo is left alone in Dreamland, away from his new family.  The hope in the end is that Dumbo will once again reunite with his mother.
