It was thrilling to uncover the news that Disney was going to add a fleet of new buses to their already expansive transportation system. The first bus we spotted had a brand new Mickey Mouse design, which was unlike the movie wraps we have grown custom to seeing.
Then we were the first to share the new interior design of the buses, featuring hardwood flooring.
Soon after, Disney officially announced that the “Sensational Six” would be featured on the buses. This of course would consist of Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy and Pluto.
Now, it’s thrilling to share this very first look at all of the Sensational Six buses parked at the Transportation and Ticket Center. They have been running periodically from the Magic Kingdom to various resorts.
The characters are larger than life on both sides of each bus. The colors also reflect the style of each character.
Mickey Mouse is seen in classic red, white and yellow.
Minnie Mouse features her classic white polka dots.
Donald Duck has his Blue and white sailor colors.
Daisy Duck is pretty in her light purple, pink and blue spring colors.
Goofy is my personal favorite with is normal green and orange colors.
Pluto rounds out the group with yellow and green.
There is supposed to be around 70 brand new Gillig buses being put into service and will all feature these brand new character designs. The new Gillig buses should help replace some of the very outdated Nova buses that have been in service for many years.
The Marquees are still located on the front and sides to let us know where the buses are heading.
“Disney Transport” is written on the upper sides and lower rear sections of the buses.
So let us know what you think about the new Sensational Six and make sure to follow PASSPORT TO THE PARKS for more Disney info and fun.
