The Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is scheduled for grand opening on July 9, 2019. Final touches are being made on exterior of the tower which includes landscaping, paving, detailing and over the past few nights, florescent lighting.
The original concept art revealed a luminescent green lighting on the pillars in the center of the tower.
We now see that several bright colors will in fact light up the center. The colors slowly transition between blue, purple, red, yellow and green. The tower is truly the new focal point of the resort and provides stunning views all around Lake Lago Dorado.
The light testing has only began on the rear of the tower. Original concept art does show the the roof and front of the tower with the same lighting affect. We did spot the ceiling of the “Toledo” restaurant with the same transitional lighting. It looks like it could represent 2 colorful waterfalls running down the front and back of the tower. We can assume to see more light testing over the next month.
